Deathgrind (sometimes written as death-grind or death/grind) is a shorthand term that is used to describe bands who play a fusion of death metal and grindcore.
Zero Tolerance described deathgrind as "grindcore and brutal death metal colliding head on." Dan Lilker described deathgrind as "combining the technicality of death metal with the intensity of grindcore." Paul Schwarz in a 2006 Terrorizer article explained the origin of the term as arising from specialist catalogs and zines within the extreme metal scene in the 1990s:

- Η ψηφοφορία μπορεί να ακυρωθεί με ένα απλό κλικ το αντίθετο ψηφοφορία εντός 24 ωρών. Στη συνέχεια μπορείτε να ψηφίσουν και πάλι για το ίδιο θέμα.
- Κάθε χρήστης έχει μία ψήφο ανά είδος μέσα σε ένα συγκεκριμένο κατάλογο κάθε 24 ώρες. Μετά από 24 ώρες, μπορείτε να ψηφίσουν και πάλι για το ίδιο θέμα στην ίδια λίστα.
- Μπορείτε να ψηφίσετε για όσες αντικείμενα, όπως σας αρέσει μέσα σε μια λίστα ή για το ίδιο θέμα αν είναι μέρος ενός άλλου πίνακα. Για παράδειγμα, μπορείτε να ψηφίσετε David Bowie πάνω ή κάτω στη λίστα της ποπ καλλιτέχνες μουσικής, καθώς και σχετικά με τον κατάλογο των indie rock καλλιτέχνες και στον κατάλογο των ροκ καλλιτεχνών κ.λπ.
